Warrington Mark Lodge No 1178
 
Installation meeting Wednesday 6th November 2024, at the Masonic Hall, Winmarleigh Street, Warrington.
WBro. David Atkinson Prov GSW, attended as the representative of the RWPGM.
16 Brethren present including VWBro. Eric Drinkwater PGSO the RWPGM Special Representative for the area and WBro. Melvyn Cross. WBro. Andrew Whittle and WBro. Tony Cross, past Wardens of the Province from circa 2015 were also present.
The WM, WBro. John Hancox was to be proclaimed as WM for the ensuing by WBro. Eric Delamere the acting DC.
Officers were invested, although a number could not be present due to illness and prior commitments and will be invested at a future occasion.
Addresses were given by WBro. Philips to the Wardens, VWBro. Drinkwater to the Overseers and WBro. Atkinson to the Brethren.
WBro. Atkinson congratulated the WM on behalf of the RWPGM and wished the Lodge and all the Brethren well for the coming year.
The WM presented WBro. Atkinson with a donation to charity of £300 with £100 each going to WLMCF, a local Hospital and Zoe’s Place.
Two Grand Lodge certificates were presented in an excellent manner to Bro’s Shadwell and Lambert by VWBro. Drinkwater.
The Lodge was closed and all the Brethren retired to the bar for refreshments and then onto the Festive Board.
WBro. Atkinson responded to the toast to the Provincial Grand officers and mentioned the need for recruitment.
A raffle was organised by WBro. Delamere which raised £78.

A good night was enjoyed by all.
